Submeter Billing

Asset Management and Billing Services helps property owners and management companies recover hundreds of dollars per unit annually through our resident billing programs. With our submeter billing program Asset Management & Billing Services captures all of the submeter data, analyzes the data and bills each resident for their individual usage. By accurately billing tenants for actual consumption, tenants are encouraged to conserve water, gas, and electricity as a means to lower their utility bill. Also, it allows property owners to identify leaks quicker. According to an EPA study, daily water consumption in an apartment building not using submetering ranged from 375 to 425 gallons per apartment per day. However, an apartment building that did use submetering, was found to use from 90 to 160 gallons per apartment per day. Each month AMBS will gather all of the meter reads from your property, analyze those readings, and then produce a statement for each of your residents. Along with the metered utility, AMBS can bill your residents for other services at the same time, such as trash removal, pest control, cable tv, etc.

AMBS offers two statement options, a simple post card billing (for properties having under six billed services per month) and a full page statement.

AMBS Submetered Billing Service includes:

  • Generating one statement for every unit reported to us as occupied for that period.
  • Each statement will contain itemized charges.
  • Bills will be mailed to the residents billing address on file.
  • We will provide you with monthly billing reports which can be downloaded from our state of the art billing system.
AMBS is one of the few companies that offer full color statement printing. Full color printing gives your residents the professional image you require and has been proven in increase collection rates. 

For our ReadBillCollect service we also include an addressed #9 return envelope with all of the statements.  Some of our competitors only send the statements requiring your residents to provide and address their own envelope.  By providing the enveloped you enjoy drastically increased collection rates.

Visual Read Properties

AMBS employs a nationwide network of professional meter readers that can come to your property and gather the readings for you on a monthly basis.  Using our meter readers ensures accurate data entry and is often much lower in cost than having on-site personnel read the meters.
